For Hot Spell was I tasked with coming up with and designing a new canned beverage.
I returned to the project to expand on it for the Spring 2024 Business Plan Competition.

For Hot Spell was I tasked with coming up with and designing a new canned beverage. I returned to the project to expand on it for the Spring 2024 Business Plan Competition.

Civic Design is a course that acts as a student visual
communication agency. This project tasked me with the
rebranding of this class’s logo, branding and website.

Hot Spell is hot chocolate that utilizes self heating can technology to allow the consumer to have a
hot drink whenever and wherever. By twisting the cap at the bottom it breaks the seal in a separate
compartment that begins to heat up the drink. Hot Spell means a brief period of warmth, which I
felt was a fitting name. Although the product is for anyone, it was mostly targeted to younger
children, so I tried to make the logo, and the designs friendly.

makes the open eye, and

winking eye. This design
makes a key element of the
branding. The wink can be
used as a secondary logo
mark whenever a smaller or
more square design is
needed.
